Destiny 2 Legacy DTR. Redrix only heard it when he felt it, every atom of his body dissolving as a bolt from the blue sky blasted a crater into the earth. His emerging fireteam was caught in the wake. Their ghosts brought them all back in staccato bursts of Light. Redrix’s Broadsword is a Legendary Pulse Rifle that was released in Season 4 of Destiny 2. It’s the companion gun to the uber rare Redrix’s Claymore, which less than 1% of players have ever received. While the Claymore is no longer obtainable, you can still obtain the Broadsword.
Get your hands on Redrix's Claymore by unlocking the Fabled rankin Destiny 2's Crucible.
In Destiny 2, many players have been struggling to reach the Fabled rank in Crucible and get Redrix’s Claymore. With the impending release of the Forsaken DLC and Season 4, there are only a few weeks left to get Redrix’s Claymore in Destiny 2.
Redrix Steps Destiny 2
To help you out, we put together a quick guide on how to get Redrix’s Claymore in Destiny 2!
How to Unlock Fabled, Get Redrix’s Claymore in Destiny 2
To get Redrix’s Claymore in Destiny 2, you’ll need to unlock Rank 3, “Fabled,” in the Crucible. While this may sound pretty straightforward, many Destiny 2 players have been struggling to reach this rank. In fact, only 8,750 players have actually managed to get Redrix’s Claymore. To rank up in Destiny 2’s Competitive Crucible, you’ll need to consistently win matches and earn points.
Note that the Fabled rank requires 2,200 points in order to unlock. As expected, the better you are at winning matches in the Crucible, the easier it is to earn points and move up the ranks to Fabled. On Reddit, user spacev3gav did the math for players wondering how much time is required to rank up to Fabled.
Spacev3gav explained that if a Destiny 2 player maintains a perfect 50% win-to-loss ratio, they’ll need to play around 440 Crucible matches. This can be a lot of grinding, especially for players who struggle against the hardcore pros that frequent Destiny 2’s Competitive Crucible. As such, we recommend putting together a strong team rather than pursuing solo queues.
Even if you prefer playing solo, there isn’t much time left to get Redrix’s Crucible as Season 3 is quickly coming to an end. On September 4, Destiny 2’s Forsaken DLC will release and Season 4 will begin, meaning that a new weapon will take the place of Redrix’s Claymore.
Destiny 2 Redrix Broadsword Quest
Alternatively, Destiny 2 players have come together to share their opinions on the best Destiny 2 weapons for Crucible play on both the Bungie Community Forum and the Destiny 2 subreddit. According to user Technolord8, the best weapons for Crucible include:
“Primary: Vigilance Wing, Time-Worn Spire, Antiope-D, or Machina Dei 4
Energy: Uriel’s Gift, Graviton Lance, Last Dance, or Requiem-45
Power: Legend of Acrius, The Colony.”
We agree with these suggestions, especially when it comes to recommending Vigilance Wing for success in Destiny 2’s Competitive Crucible. By grinding your way through the Crucible with a team, or on your own with a good weapon like Vigilance Wing, you should be able to earn the Fabled rank and get Redrix’s Claymore in Destiny 2.

Redrix’s Claymore is a Legendary Pulse rifle you can get in Destiny 2. It is a pretty good rifle, with perks that allow you to become a complete high-speed beast, as long as you keep up with the precision kills. Getting the Destiny 2 Redrix’s Claymore rifle might require some help, however. So, here’s how to obtain Redrix’s Claymore in Destiny 2.
How to Get Redrix’s Claymore Pulse Rifle in Destiny 2?
Unlocking the Redrix’s Claymore Legendary Pulse Rifle is, technically speaking, pretty simple. All you have to do is to grind in the Crucible until you reach a high enough level. Once you hit the benchmark, you’ll earn Redrix’s Claymore. The bad news is that you’ll have to grind the competitive ranked play until you reach Rank 3, or Fabled. Depending on your skills, this could take a good long while, so strap in for the grind. If you reach Glory Rank “Legend”, you’ll earn the Glory and Grandeur weapon mod. Equip it on the weapon to change its appearance, simple as that. Best of all, when you earn this ornament, you’ll get it on all characters on the given account.
The Redrix’s Claymore is a pretty great weapon, looking at its perks. It comes with a high-impact frame, making it more accurate when you’re standing still and aiming down the sights. It also comes with a Chambered Compensator, Corkscrew Rifling, or Polygonal Rifling. However, there are two specific perks that make it really great. The first one is Outlaw, with which precision kills greatly decrease reload time. The second one is Desperado, where you’re rate of fire is increased when reloading while Outlaw is activated. Combine the two, and you’ll get quite the beast of a rifle, which you can use to mow down enemies at an alarming speed, depending on your accuracy, of course.
